Hepatitis A
Hepatitis A is a very contagious virus that is spread through contaminated food/water or personal contact with infected person.
Symptoms can vary from fatigue, stomach pains, yellowing of the skin. It causes liver disease.

People with increased risk of infection like international travelers, people with occupational risk for exposure (food handlers).
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B spreads through bodily fluids including blood and semen.
Symptoms include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, clay-colored bowel movements, joint pain, and jaundice.
Everyone should be vaccinated for Hepatitis B during childhood.

Measles
Measles is a very contagious disease caused by a virus. It spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneeze
Symptoms: flu like symptoms, sore throat, & a rash.
Everyone should be vaccinated at some point against MMR. Especially recommended for students entering college, Travelers, Health care professionals and Immigration purposes.
Mumps
Mumps is a contagious disease that is caused by a virus.
Symptoms:starts with fever, headache, muscle aches, tiredness, and loss of appetite. Then, most people will have swelling of their salivary glands. This is what causes the puffy cheeks and a tender, swollen jaw.

Rubella
Rubella is a contagious disease caused by a virus and is also known as German measles.
Symptoms: low-grade fever, sore throat, and a rash that starts on the face and spreads to the rest of the body. an cause a miscarriage or serious birth defects in an unborn baby if a woman is infected while she is pregnant

Japanese Encephalitis
Japanese Encephalitis is a disease that spreads through mosquito bites.
Symptoms: Early Symptoms include fever, headache, vomiting, confusion, and difficulty moving. Symptoms can later develop into swelling in the brain, coma and even death.
Symptoms: flu like symptoms, sore throat, & a rash.
Travelers to Asia, depends on the visiting area, length of stay and travel conditions.
Meningococcal
Meningococcal is type of illness caused by Neisseria meningitis bacteria.
All children should be vaccinated, teens and young adults.
Anyone with increased risk of infection like travelers to Subsaharan belt in Africa also known as the meningitis belt.
Yellow Fever
Yellow fever is a virus transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito, primarily Aedes or Haemagogus spp.
Yellow fever vaccine is recommended for people who are aged 9 months or older who are traveling to or living in areas at risk for yellow fever virus transmission in South America and Africa. Yellow fever vaccine may be required for entry into certain countries.
Diphteria
Diphtheria, an infection caused by Corynebacterium diphtheriae bacteria.
Symptoms include sore throat, fever, swollen lymph nodes, a thick grey-white coating at the back of your throat, and weakness.
Symptoms: Cholera symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, and vomiting.
All babies and children, preteens and teens, and adults.
Typhoid
Typhoid fever is caused by Salmonella Typhi bacteria.
Symptoms can include fever (as high as 103–104°F), weakness, stomach pain, headache, diarrhea or constipation, cough, and loss of appetite.
Some people have a rash of flat, rose-colored spots. Internal bleeding and death can occur but are rare.
International travelers going to Asia (especially India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh), Africa, the Caribbean, Central and South America, and the Middle East.
Tetanus
Tetanus is an infection caused by Clostridium tetani bacteria.
Symptom can include Jaw cramping, Sudden, involuntary muscle tightening (muscle spasms) – often in the stomach.
Painful muscle stiffness all over the body.
Trouble swallowing, Jerking or staring (seizures), Headache., Fever and sweating.
Children 7 years and up.
Anyone with increased exposure: Construction workers, healthcare workers, and travelers.
Cholera
Cholera bacteria (Vibrio cholerae) spread from one person to another in places where sanitation is poor.
You can get sick with cholera by drinking water or eating food contaminated with cholera bacteria.
Symptoms: Cholera symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, and vomiting.
Travelers to countries with active cholera transmission.
Pertussis
Pertussis also known as whooping cough is a respiratory disease caused by Bordetella pertussis bacteria.
Symptoms include a cough that sounds like “whoop,” symptoms include a runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing.
All babies and children, preteens and teens, and pregnant women. Anyone in contact with newborns.
Polio
Polio is a is a crippling and potentially deadly disease. It is caused by the poliovirus. The virus spreads from person to person and can invade an infected person’s brain and spinal cord, causing paralysis.
Symptom vary mild symptoms like sore throat, fever, stomach pain to serious symptoms that include paralysis, to permanent disability or death.

Booster should be given after 21 y/o for traveling purpose.
Several countries are requiring certificate of Polio vaccine depending on you’re itinerary and length of trip.
Rabies
Rabies is a preventable viral disease most often transmitted through the bite of a rabid animal.
Symptoms can include general weakness or discomfort, fever, or headache. Itching sensation at the site of the bite, progressing within days to acute symptoms of cerebral dysfunction, anxiety, confusion, and agitation. Once signs of Rabies appear it is nearly always fatal.

Varicella is a highly contagious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus.
